Happy Fall!

We hope this finds everyone well! I have attached a few pictures from Halloween and this fall. Kate will be 2 in December and we are busy getting ready for the arrival of the twins.
Picking out pumpkins with Daddy!

Kate was a Strawberry for Halloween and she loved her costume. She asked to sleep in it many nights. Our neighboorhood hosts a Halloween party with a parade and all of our friends from our street made an appearance. Our street is full of children and Kate loves to venture out and play everyday.
Finally, lots of pictures of pumpkins...my belly is the size of a major pumpkin. :-) This is me at 28 weeks with the boys. We can't imagine how big I am going to be by the time they arrive. We will keep you all posted!

Much love,

Happy Summer!

Happy Summer!

Kate is continuing to grow quickly. She is now 20 months and is as busy as ever. She is quite the director and loves to tell us what to do. She is continuing to enjoy all of her activities inlcuding music, soccer, and gym class. She has playdates with her friends and loves to play with her cousins and grandparents.

She is the comedian in our house as she learns to say MANY words. Her favorite breakfast food is waffles which she calls "awfuls." We think she uses them more as a vehicle to inhale butter. This morning she insisted that all 3 of us get into the bathtub (no water)to dance together. It was quite the spectacle!

We are doing our best to get her ready for the arrival of her brothers. If you ask her about the babies, she either lifts her shirt and points to her belly or points to Mommy's. We've included some picutures from the last few months. Enjoy!

Much Love,

Kate says "Happy New Year!!"

We realize this is a little late., but we hope this note finds everyone well! We've been busy here in Colorado. Miss Kate is a VERY active 13 month old and she keeps us running. She took her first steps in Iowa the day before Thanksgiving and was practically running by Christmas day. She is dying to talk and is able to say 6 words now...with her limited vocabulary she still has no problem communmicating her strong opinions. :-) She is so much fun now and we can't believe that a year has already passed. Here are some pictures of the last few months.

We said goodbye to Savannah the first weekend in December. We were happy to see Becky and her daughter Anna. Kate and Anna had fun playing together. It was hard to leave for the last time, but we are so glad to have Mom, Dad, and Grandmama close by. They moved to Colorado just before Christmas. They live just a mile from our house!

We spent Christmas at our house with the whole family. Hill, Susie, and Alden came from Park City (they are moving to Colorado in April) and Grandpa Dave came from Iowa. Kate had a blast playing with her cousins and enjoying her loot from Santa.

We celebrated Kate's 1st birthday with a party at at Children's gym. She invited 8 of her pals to come play. She wasn't so sure about the birthday cake. She has since learned to like sweets. :-)

Enjoying her first sledding experience with Dad and Grandpa Dave!

We will keep you posted! Happy 2008 to everyone!

Love,

Jen, Seth, and Kate

Crawling, Cruising, 8 teeth, and Halloween

Well, A lot has happened since our last post this summer! Kate is now 10 months old. She has moved from crawling to cruising and is ready to start walkiing. She has 8 teeth and an unbelievable amount of hair!

She has A TON of energy and keeps us on the move! She had a busy rest of the summer with a quick trip to Savannah and a visit from both her Grandma Barb and Grandpa Dave in Denver.

She loved halloween and was a "busy" bee! She went trick or treating with her cousin Lainie who was a sweet angel. They had a lot of fun! I have included a few more pictures from the summer and early fall. We can't believe how quickly she has grown and that she will be a year old soon! We hope you all are well! Happy Fall!
Love,

Kate's Summer Top 10

Summer has been full of travel and many milestones! Kate is now 7 months old and VERY busy. We hope to see you all soon! Here is a list some of her top summer happenings:

1.Kate is learning to crawl and pull up on things…reverse was the only gear until today as she learned forward drive. :-)
2.We have a MAJOR talker on our hands. Uncle Hill could not believe how high pitched and loud Kate could talk. Her current favorite phrases are "AGUY GUY GUY "and "AKINE KINE KINE."
3.Kate loves to celebrate big events. She celebrated Grandpa Dave’s 60th birthday and her second Cousin Aldridge and Sean’s wedding. She danced the night away at her first wedding and had a blast meeting her Harris family.

4.Kate loved taking her first swim class at the YMCA.
5.Teething is not fun…3 teeth surfaced in 10 days.
6.Kate still has a crush on her music teacher Mr. Mark…she loves music class and bounces and flaps her arms for all of the songs. Her Great Uncle Tom (aka TaTa) visited her in Denver and attended class. :-)

7.The jury is out on solid foods…Kate is still deciding whether or not she wants to eat…her cheeks tell the real story.
8.The stomach flu is not a fun time…we had our first illness which landed us at Children’s hospital with dehydration after 4 days of vomiting. The IV was a challenge, but she was a real trooper and recovered quickly.
9. 4th of July was fun, but, fireworks will have to wait for another year…bedtime still comes too early.
10. Kate ventured into the ocean for her first swim with Dad at Gulf Shores.

It’s been a fun summer filled with a lot of travel (Kate has almost qualified for a free frequent-flyer ticket with 9 round trip flights since birth) We’ll check in again soon!

Love,
Seth, Jen, and Kate

Bunnies and a Baptism!

We've had another busy month!

Kate was visited by the Easter bunny this year and even received an Easter Basket...however, she was more interested in eating her dress than checking out the goodies. We can't believe how quickly she is growing. :-)She weighed 13.8lbs at her 4 month check up. She was in the 49th percentile for weight, 51st for height and 79th for head. We are convinced she is going to be a genius with all those brains! She was not very happy to return to the doctor and cried from the minute we walked into the office until we left.

Kate was baptized at Montview Presbyterian Church this past weekend. She wore a gown from Grandmama and Papa and a special family bonnet from Grandmama's brother. Again, she mostly enjoyed eating the ribbons on the bonnet. :-)Kate anchored a 4 generation picture that is her Mom's favorite!

Kate has had many visitors this month! Family has visited her by Train and Plane. Both sets of Grandparents and her Great Grandmama Hill all visited her in Denver. What a lucky girl!

Kate's current hobbies include working in her office (aka the exersaucer), attending music class with her Mommy, taking walks with her Daddy in her jog stroller, and talking up a storm while watching her mobile on her changing table.

We will keep you posted as things progress!

Much Love,

Jennie, Seth, and Kate
